From a huge run of shows across New Zealand and Europe this summer, a solo national tour spanning five dates, and being tapped to open for the likes of Fred again..,  Interplanetary Criminal, Sammy Virji and more – MESSIE is taking things next level and  fast becoming one of the most exciting forces in electronic music. 

Raised in small-town Gisborne in band rooms with years behind the drum kit, MESSIE’s rhythm-driven roots shaped her love of Breakbeat and Jungle. Today, her sound has  exploded into a genre-jumping whirlwind of selections. MESSIE seamlessly blends the  likes of UK Funky, Baltimore/Jersey Club, Ghetto Tech, Footwork, and endless global  club flavours to create a journey that leaves you feeling connected to each other, the  music and with MESSIE herself. 

2025 was her biggest year yet, with MESSIE taking her high-energy sets to some of the  world’s most iconic clubs and festival stages, including Fabric (London), Antidoto (Madrid), Lollapalooza (Berlin), AiaSound (Copenhagen), All Points East (London), and Strawberry Fields (Australia). This run solidified her place on the global electronic  circuit. MESSIE finds inspiration through experiencing sets in person for herself. You can  find her in local clubs raving to sets that shape the scene, or festivals big and small  absorbing the magic and production of all kinds of sounds and influences that shape  her own diverse sets. MESSIE is rapidly becoming one of Aotearoa’s most in-demand  exports, and trust us: it’s only going to get messier.
